Default People who leave PVP when they die

I had an interesting situation earlier tonight in Tombs. I was a W/Mo, and all 7 of my teammates had died. I was still fighting and able to keep myself alive long enough to try and lure the team fighting me into the two other teams on the map. Lucky for me, I was able to sneak off to a spot literally in between the 3 remaining teams. (I have screenshots of this, it's actually pretty funny. I'll post them later.)

As I did this, the three remaining teams were all at a standstill, because nobody wanted to charge me because they'd open themselves up for an attack from one or both of the other teams.

So eventually, a couple of teams started to fight, and I was able to sneak off back towards my base unnoticed. Unfortunately, the only person I could rez was the one monk who had stayed. Everyone else had disconnected after they thought I was done. The monk and I were able to hold out, and do pretty well for being 2 on 8.

I just wish people would stick around long enough to see what's going on. I'm not the best PVPer, but I like to think I'm competent. I just wish I could get into a group where the people are serious and good team players. Too bad my clan was basically started with a few offline friends and myself.

I have found circumstances that are the opposite of what you described in PvE (never in PvP though) where the whole team died but one person, and we still managed to pull of the mission

I do hate it when people leave early. They could always stay, watch, and learn something

Well, I never thought I'd see that situation in PVP. But I knew for sure that if I put myself in a place where the team had to open itself up to attack from another team, that nobody would come after me. I literally was standing in between three teams for a couple minutes just waiting for someone to do something.

This happens in all games where you have random teams. It would be nice if everyone stayed, but there is always that human spirit of "Oh, well, I don't want to put too much effort into this, besides, we might have lost anyway!". Though, the situations you described were pretty grim, many leave at the first sign of loss, no matter how minor.

I always stay to see it through the end simply because the end is sometimes very funny, or something may happen to turn it around even if the odds are stacked against you.

Even if i die in a situation, i allways find it extremely intreaguing to watch the surviving person in 3rd person mode, watching the spells/specials he uses, how he does the best with what he has in that perticular situation given his build.

I don't mind losing, but if my last teammate uses his head and fights with it till the end rather than doing something completely kamikaze, that usually leaves me with a smile on my face. I almost allways watch any fight, PvP or PvE, till the end.

yep, this is very annoying.

had today a pickup group with only one monk.
at his first death the monk left in the middle of the fight ... (we still fought for about 3 or 4 mins but finally lost after that)

and i had once a team in the tombs where it happened that 6 died but the last 2 escaped and rezzed when the other 2 teams were fighting.
all got rezzed and we killed the 2 other teams and won the round (we even managed to reach hoh with that pug)

people who leave during the fight on purpose are dumb or inexperienced.

anything can happen as long as there is one member of the group alive.

besides it can be fun to lay around and watch the ongoing fighting for a while
